The Icelandic Knowledge Train has been on the road the last three weekends and travelled around Iceland visiting Vík í Mýrdal, Sandgerði and Flateyri. All the places are beautiful and there inhabitants very welcoming.
During its visits the train’s crew has held various courses, for example on Japanese, programming, physics, chemistry, astronomy, geology, philosophy of science and wind energy. It has been very pleasurable to teach the enthusiastic students
The crew also put up science feasts in all the places visited, where guests got the chance to visit our travel planetarium, see a chemistry show, solve all sorts of puzzles provided by the Icelandic Web of Science among other activities.
We would like to thank the welcoming people we met in all the places visited and we look forward to being on the road again.
